MindPulse: a new tool to measure decision-making and vigilance

Publication of a new article MindPulse: a new tool to measure decision-making and vigilance in « Cahiers de La Revue de la Défense Nationale (RDN) », in march 2025. The title is "the augmented soldier - Cognitive overload: how to understand and manage it", section "Applied Solutions", p.164-172, Sandra Suarez, Bertrand Eynard.

Vigilance and Decision making (at core of executive functions) or central in the military filed. Stress, fatigue and cognitive overload can impact them. The numerical test MindPulse, based on advanced models, it assesses these abilities in 15 minutes to identify vulnerabilities and provides an overview of the emotional interaction with decision-making capacities. Recent advances enhance the measurements by using the Drift Diffusion Model (DDM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze individual adaptation dynamics. Tested in military settings, MindPulse aims to evolved towards monitoring in real-time and real-environnements.
